ESNNA Code
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism has established the policy against the exploitation of girls, boys, and adolescents (ESNNA). The ESNNA Code and HUAYNA PERU have an agreement for joint actions to prevent and eradicate this issue.
The ESNNA Programme and Our Commitment
This programme, focused on social development and the protection of vulnerable populations, is a comprehensive and complex initiative by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).
Its aim is to raise awareness and train the entire sector in our country to prevent and ultimately eliminate the exploitation of minors.
ESNNA requires adherence to a Code of Conduct, which is subscribed to with Mincetur. It mandates that the company publicises this initiative, its rules, and objectives. Additionally, appropriate training for staff and suppliers must be conducted. Of course, the company commits to working in accordance with all the requirements of the Code.
Unfortunately, in Peru, the trafficking of minors is a severe problem, but efforts are being made to combat it. Through the practice of ethically responsible tourism, HUAYNA PERU contributes to the development, economic activity, and improvement of living standards in the destinations we visit. In this vein, our commitment to the ESNNA programme also helps reduce and eradicate the exploitation of minors.
