Itinerary

Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu

We will pick you up from your hotel at 3:00 AM and head to the Ollantaytambo train station, a 2-hour drive. There, we will board our train at 5:05 AM, bound for the majestic sanctuary of “Machu Picchu,” declared a Wonder of the World in 2007. During the journey, you will admire the beauty of the inter-Andean valleys and indigenous villages in the area until we reach Machu Picchu Pueblo, also known as Aguas Calientes.

From there, we will take buses for a 30-minute ride to the Machu Picchu sanctuary. After completing the entry formalities, we begin a once-in-a-lifetime experience at this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our guide will start the visit at the Inca complex, including the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana, the Sacred Rock group, the Temple of the Three Windows, the mausoleum, and other attractions. After the guided tour, tourists have free time to take photos, explore areas of interest, or relax.

In Machu Picchu Pueblo, you can explore artisan markets, the main square, and other attractions while waiting to board the return train at 2:55 PM or 3:20 PM (Peru Rail Expeditions). After a scenic ride back to Ollantaytambo, our tourist transport will take you to Cusco, arriving at your hotel around 7:00 PM.
