Itinerary
Cusco – Cathedral
To start this tour, we will pick you up from your hotel in the afternoon at 1:00 pm or in the morning at 9:00 am (you can choose the visiting schedule) to then visit the following tourist attractions. The Cusco Cathedral: We begin the excursion by visiting the Cathedral of Cusco, the Church of the Holy Family, and the Church of Triumph. Koricancha Temple. – Also known as the “Temple of the Sun,” its perfect architecture and stone constructions reflect that it was the most important temple of the Inca Empire.
Sacsayhuaman. – During the Inca era, it was called the “house of the sun” and was a significant religious center. This construction is attributed to the Incas of the last dynasties, and you will see large stone blocks. It is located 5 km from the city of Cusco. Qenqo: Located 1 km from Sacsayhuaman, it was a ceremonial center, as evidenced by a giant monolith in the central part, possibly representing an animal that was the main deity, surrounded by niches where offerings were placed. PucaPucara. – An ancient tambo, a checkpoint along the Inca roads.
Its construction is rustic, consisting of streets, houses, and courtyards. Tambomachay. – Located 9 km from the city of Cusco, it is known as the Inca’s Bath due to the design of its water fountains. It might also have been a temple dedicated to water worship. After our visit, we will return to the hotel.
